Education Loan
- Purpose: The Scheme aims at providing financial assistance to deserving/meritorious students with an opportunity including undertaking basic education and to the meritorious students to pursue higher, professional and technical education in Bhutan and abroad.
Studies in Bhutan: maximum Nu.400,000/-
Studies abroad : maximum Nu.2,000,000/-
- Term of loan: 5 years
- Security: Collateral security should be of minimum 100% value of loan. Security can be in the form of land / building / shares / debentures / bank deposits and any other assets acceptable to the bank etc registered in the name of student, parents, guardian or any other third party.
